Comparison of GRACE/GRACE-FO Spherical Harmonic and Mascon Products in Interpreting GNSS Vertical Loading Deformations over the Amazon Basin

We compute the vertical displacements in Amazon Basin using Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) GRACE Follow-On (GRACE-FO) observations, including both gravity spherical harmonic (SH) solutions from Center for Space Research (CSR), GeoForschungsZentrum (GFZ) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) mascons CSR, JPL Goddard Flight (GSFC). The correlation coefficients, annual amplitude root mean squares (RMS) reductions are calculated to assess agreements between GRACE/GRACE-FO Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) at 22 selected GNSS stations. For six products (i.e., CSR SH, GFZ mascon, GSFC mascon mascon), 77.6%, 76.4%, 76.3%, 78.6%, 78.5% 76.6%, respectively, corresponding RMS 63.2%, 61.7%, 62.3%, 64.9%, 65.3% 63.8%, coefficients all over 0.93.
